Ada Lovelace's original notebook found including her legendary Notes
Ada Lovelace's Notes contain the first ever computer program which is the foundation of all computer programming. An original copy of them has been discovered and sold, at frankly a knock-down price.
It's mind boggling to to see her thorough and detailed design of a program for Charles Babage's Analytical Engine. Like so many other genuises she was way ahead of her time.
Her Notes were included with her translation from Italian of the report by L.F. Menabrea describing discussions with Babbage in Turin in 1840.
Of course Ada Lovelace was correctly referred to as Lady Lovelace! The only legitimate daughter of the dissolute poet Lord Byron.
